The city of Hernando, located in eastern Citrus County, is just 80 miles north of Tampa and 75 miles northeast of Orlando. The Hernando Beach and Hernando Park offer a variety of outdoor activities. There are picnic areas, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, a playground, shuffleboard courts, volleyball courts, and a beach area for swimming. The Ted Williams Museum and Hitters Hall of Fame can also be found in Hernando. The museum depicts Ted´s career as well as some of the other great hitters in baseballs history. |
